Part-Time Car washer / Shop helper
Job Description
Carfix is looking to hire 1-2 part time employees for a car washer / shop helper position. This is an entry level position in an auto repair and maintenance shop. Primary duties will be washing cars, cleaning up around the shop, moving cars around the parking lot, helping technicians as needed, occasionally going out to pick up parts as needed, etc.
The job is occasionally really hot or really cold – we work in a non-climate controlled environment. There is significant physical labor involved, bending over/squating/lifting/reaching over your head are all normal parts of the job. You will have the opportunity to learn about auto maintenance and repair, but that isn’t part of your job description. This could be a great way to explore the field to see if it might make a good career for you.
The job will be between 20-30 hours a week. The shop is not open nights or weekends, so please be able to work during week days. For the right person this could turn into a full time position with benefits.
To qualify for this job you’ll need to have a clean/clear NC driver’s license, and you’ll need to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
The job pays $8.50/hr.
