GREAT PART-TIME OPPORTUNITY FOR AFTERNOON HOST/PERSONALITY
Triangle Marketing Associates, WKJO Smithfield/Clayton, NC (suburban Raleigh), has an excellent opportunity for an on-air host with good vocal delivery and technical execution. Some experience is preferred.
Primary responsibilities are to host an afternoon radio program focused on the music, but with enough personality to be compelling in communicating timely local information about local events, happenings, weather, and the music. You may also actively engage listeners for phone interaction and contesting. The shows focus will always be the stations well defined Country Music position.
Candidates must be up to date with FCC broadcast rules, communities in the coverage area, Country Music from the last 25 years, and social media promotion. Candidates should also be technically proficient with digital automation and editors to cover producing show elements and commercial matter. Position will include some commercial audio production, voice work, and voice tracking. There will be occasional extra time required to cover station events, appearances, and on location broadcasts.
Competitive part-time compensation is based upon experience and capabilities of the candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the Eastern Wake or Johnston County area of NC that may have a base of income elsewhere, but also has radio experience, a love of the medium, and a desire to be a part of a dynamic radio operation.
