Jymco Construction is based in Smithfield and offers a range of underground utility services ( water, sewer and storm drain) improvements, and flat work concrete. Operating equipment such as skid steer, and excavator is a plus.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist pipelayers to assure efficient and accurate installation of pipe.
• Use shovel and hand tools as necessary to prepare the site for the installation of pipe or to locate pipe and other utilities.
• Assure that all safety equipment, tools, parts, and pipe are at the work area.
• Be alert to job site, other people, equipment and potential hazards in order to complete tasks safely.
• A commitment to Pipeline Utilities’ safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications include:

• One year of previous construction experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow directions to perform tasks.
• Ability to do heavy physical labor, outside, in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind).
• Accuracy, alertness, and ability to communicate with crew members and work as a team.
• Reliable self-starter with a strong work ethic who is driven to excel and willing to take on new challenges.
